We had a great time on Wednesday evening photographing the dress rehearsal of Southminster Operatic & Choral Societies production of Calamity Jane. A great show with some wonderful singing and performances. This is being held at Ormiston Rivers Academy in Burnham-on-crouch on Thursday 17th May, Friday 18th May and Saturday 19th May. Just finished the foyer photos for the cast of Calamity Jane performed by Southminster Operatic and Choral Society. The show is being performed in Burnham-on-crouch at Orminston Rivers Academy on May 17th,18th and 19th of May.

I have been asked to include one of my photographs of Southminster Operatic and Choral Society in a time capsule being placed in Southminster. What a wonderful thought that in many years time one of my photographs will be displayed as record of Southminster's history.

The print is of the Southminster Operatic and Choral Society's 2011 Christmas Concert. Unfortunately, compositionally not one of my best photographs, a by-product of being in the photograph at the back and triggering the shutter remotely.

I have printed this photograph using our pigment ink printer. This printer has an archival print permanence of 200 years according to Hewlett Packard and so this will be a nice test of this. It is a shame that I will probably not be about to see how well it does.

I often wonder what will happen to my photographs in years to come, now I know that at least one will survive for a good while.

I often get asked whether I do pet photography and the answer is "yes". So far for clients we have only photographed dogs and cats however I have experience of photographing wild animals and I am happy to photograph any animal, insect or fish.
